Set in Charlotte, NC, twelve-year-old Sarah is an average adolescent girl trying to find her place in the world. With her career-oriented parents always on the go, she finds comfort in a stranger she meets at the local park. A summer long relationship blossoms as they grow closer each day. Finally, Sarah has an adult in her life to talk to when no one else is there to listen. That is, until one day she learns of a secret surrounding her family. Not only that, but the stranger she had come to trust may not have the best intentions. In a time where their pasts entwine, everything may not be as it seems.

Dear Ryan,
I read your book Thanksgiving weekend in one sitting because I couldn't put the book down. Your style of writing and use of words is exceptional. You definitely have talent! I hope you will write more books in the future. Love, Brenda

Hello Ryan. I just finished your book! I thought it was WONDERFUL and could not put it down. Don't you just love books like that!! I hope you continue on this path and am very anxious to see more of your work. Even though I am related (I am your grandmother Lee's younger sister) I see that your Great Grandfather's artistic talent is still running through our veins generation after generation! Best of luck to you! Aunt Terry P.S. When will the movie be out? :0)
