From the Photographer:

The images I've selected are some of my favorite from over a 20 year period, spanning my days in 35mm slide photography to my recent (2007) foray into digital SLRs.

All 35mm color slides have been professionally scanned (by Larsen Digital Services) into a digital format and have been taken through a careful digital post-processing workflow to get the images into a state that resembled the original 35mm slide color and quality.

For my digital SLR images, I am also very careful in my post-processing workflow to not alter or over-enhance colors and textures. My intent is to deliver images as I remembered them when I clicked the shutter. The images in this book are my interpretation of our natural world. By nature of the digital capture process, some amount of post-processing is needed to get the image to the desired end state.

Every image in this book has a unique story behind them, and sometimes the challenges in capturing the images are more interesting than the images themselves! I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.

Thanks for the wonderful comments. It's always hard to pick a favorite place, but the one place that offers the most diversity and beauty is no doubt Yosemite. I've been there too many times to count, and everytime I go it's a different experience. I'm lucky enough to live a few hours from Yosemite, so I try to go there as often as my schedule allows.
