About the Book
From the 19th of August to the 22nd of August 2009, Andreas Schmidt followed Justin S. whom he had invited to come on a trip to Venice a few weeks earlier. Quite by chance they encountered some of the same locations as Sophie Calle back in 1980. Others were sought out deliberately...
For four days Andreas Schmidt followed Justin S. on the streets of Venice. For the pleasure of following him, because he particularly interested him. He photographed him with and without his knowledge, occasionally asked him to pose, or sometimes to help re-create a photograph from 'Suite vénitienne'.
At times he lost sight of him.
