This book contains wonderful portraits and scenes that contain the people involved in making a particular school in Uganda work. Ken's approach to this project, his travels, and, presumably, his life displays a distinctly humanistic flavor!

Ken Driese's book is a sublime photo/essay that describes the beauty and struggles of life in rural Uganda. Driese's photos have the rare qualities, in a portrait of a culture characterized by extreme poverty, of dignity and appreciation; understated and uncondescending images of lives that are rich with potential and limited only by opportunity. One School at a Time is an extraordinary book that describes the work of a foundation that makes visible the "better angels of our nature"--- in the timeless words of Abraham Lincoln. "One School" deserves your support! Buy the book and support the work of this wonderful partnership which
provides education, clean water, safety and love to the children of Uganda. The children supported by "One School" are few in number, relative to the need; the foundation will only be able to expand it's program of care---through your care--and generosity of spirit.
