Fairgrounds have not been an exclusive but a constant theme in my photography during quite a while now. I guess I have fun visiting amusement parks just as anyone and consequently tried to capture some of the atmosphere and feel of such places.

The more it became a constant theme I wanted to create a consistent body of work. Without having a fixed target in terms of completion, I knew from the start that it will need more time than to collect happy snaps here or there along occasional visits. So I kept on shooting.

It turned into something fixed among other subjects I am interested in. Meanwhile being used to a kind of routine I now finally feel to have reached a point where I like to bring this topic to an end. Not so much in the sense of complete finalisation, merely as a milestone reached.

So here is the result of what started as a vague idea and more and more turned into a labour of love over the past three years. Photographs from dream worlds.
