In May of 1930, my grandparents left Mount Vernon, New York (just north of New York City) and traveled the entire country. They went as far to the southwest as Tijuana, Mexico. Along the way they visited 11 National Parks. This book is a reproduction of my grandmother and grandfather's detailed scrapbook from their trip. I have photographed each page, and adjusted color balance and contrast for the most faithful reproduction I could achieve.

EverBGreen says
President Franklin D. Roosevelt:
"There is nothing so American as our national parks.... The fundamental idea behind the parks...is that the country belongs to the people, that it is in process of making for the enrichment of the lives of all of us."
