About the Book
Art provides a creative opening for making the introspective visible, for searching out the metaphors. The personal expressions of disconnection, fulfilment, fear or joy are both unique and universal. It is easy to feel a connection of shared experience seeing someone overwhelmed by the number of groceries in a huge supermarket or identify with the teenager who speaks with hope and trepidation about the future.
This book is an exploration of my photography and video art practice over the past few years. It features both photographs and my thoughts on the meaning, context and relevance of these images.
