This book features photographs of the William Brady and William Fulton Nicodemus families from Pennsylvania, and the John August (X) Peterson family from Iowa and Florida. Many images from the Milton Sheesley and Thomas Jim Masterson families are also included. Formal portraits and general family snapshots are shown, as well as World War I service photographs, the development of a patented excavation machine by W.F. Nicodemus, and gravesite images.
The photographs span an era from 1889 to 1949. The early images are primarily from the western Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh areas. During the Great Depression, many family members moved south, so photographs taken after the late 1920s are generally from the state of Florida.
This 268 page book includes family trees, gravesite images, 400 photographs, and information about the multiple marriages between the families. The majority of the images have been produced from first generation scans of the original photographic prints.
