Helena Eflerova’s live underwater performance symbolises the narrative journey of a foetus and its interaction with the surrounding environment.
‘Trimester’ has been created in response to contemporary issues concerned with multi-faith views on foetus development and its capacity of memory. Proposing, happy and traumatic experiences that have an affect on postnatal life.
The ‘Trimester’ project has advocated collaborations and synergies with other artists, scientists and organisations. In kind and funding support has been attained from the Portsmouth Film Festival, Lottery funding, the Kino Foundation (via Awards for All) and The National Oceanography Centre.
