About the Book
Freshly self-identifying activist and spoken word poet, Kayla Carrington writes on environmental and social injustices in the form that she knows best– rhymes.
Each Step In centers on the intergenerational environmental anxiety that today's two youngest generations face greater than any who have come before. Kayla's intention with her work is to cultivate a sense of self-actualization in anyone willing to listen to and engage with her words.
When it comes to facing environmental and socially related injustices head-on, Kayla believes that art, emotion, and nature have more than just the right to be in the conversation of environmental activism– they have the responsibility of representing the change so needed in today’s changing world.
