About the Book
Down every road and around every bend, the Blokhus "sommerhus" elicits a tranquil wonder. A cross between Lake Tahoe and Cape Cod, but different, Blokhus is imbued with its own distinct personality. Hundreds of thousands of Danes, along with Norwegians, Swedes, and Germans, holiday here each summer. They come to enjoy the beach, the dunes, the comfortable town. Yet on the other side of the beach, beyond the dunes, you will find what I like most about Blokhus – the Danish summer house. Sleek and angular, neat and quaint, strong and sturdy, stark and warm – each has its charm. (Book comes with premium paper.)

Amy Madsen
Northern California
Amy Madsen lives in Northern California. The inspiration for her first Blurb book is the sheer beauty of the Blokhus summer house and its environs. After spending several summers in Blokhus, she finally ventured into the neighborhoods by foot. More summers brought more walks, which led to bike rides, and hence, more summer houses and photos.
