Maddie Gerig Shelly is an emerging miniature ceramicist creating one-of-a-kind wheel thrown miniature pottery. She designed and built her first miniature wheel in 2017.

Miniature Potter’s Wheel" which includes more art photos, anecdotes and thoughts on making miniatures.
Maddie Gerig Shelly is a ceramic miniaturist and fine artist creating finely crafted, minimalist modern pottery. She grew up surrounded by dogs, her three older sisters and orchard trees, all of which continue to influence her and her work. Gerig Shelly received her bachelor’s degree from Goshen College in Fine Art, with a focus in ceramics. She has received numerous awards and grants for her work including a Maple Scholars Research Grant in which she designed and built her own miniature pottery wheel. She has apprenticed with 8 artists across the United States, including her mentor and aunt, Jane Graber, a miniature ceramicist. Gerig Shelly is represented in galleries, stores and online venues across the United States and regularly shows in a variety of craft and miniatures expositions.
