I was lucky enough to spend the last 2 seasons living and working onboard the legendary Delta Queen, an 81 year old overnight steamer, and the last of her kind. Sadly, due to politics her exemption has not be granted, and she has been docked. Those of us who love this National Historic Landmark still hope that Congress may grant her a river life, but that remains to be seen. There is nothing that compares to living and working on the river on this historic old boat, and I've tried to capture the feel of the river in my pictures. There are beautiful sunrises, and quaint little river towns, and a crew that loved this mighty old steamboat. I hope you enjoy my odyssey.
Sadly we lost one of the members of our crew family in June, 2009. This book is dedicated to my friend, Vince Lombardi.
