Fine art photographs of Lake Erie water lilies.
Born & raised in Germany, I came to photography a little later in life, but am no less enthusiastic about it. My interests are primarily fine art portraiture and still life, but I'm also into street photography. I guess, I'm fascinated by the spontaneous, the situational, which is why I prefer scenes created by others. Not that I couldn't arrange things myself, but you get the point. To enter a situation like this holds much more excitement, both for me and the people later viewing what my eye captured. It's like an impromptu speech, frozen in time with a lens.
My great inspiration and admiration are the early photography pioneers, their experimental style that mirrored so well not just their time, but the excitement about this new media.

Great images! The light, texture, and mood are all superb. I love how a common item can be transformed beyond its own scale and presence. Wonderful layout, the black background isolates the subject enhancing the drama in the image.
