About the Book
Within these pages one is invited to discover a selection of the design work of Ernest Nazzareno Olivieri. Born in Connecticut in 1922, Ernie is the son of Italian immigrants from Senigallia Italy. Today he lives in La Mision, Baja, Mexico, where he spends the better part of his days designing houses. Inspired by a deep love of the Mediterranean and European countryside, he has produced a startling array of eclectic, timeless designs. When Ernie takes pencil to paper, he is able to acheive a beautiful symmetry of proportion, style and efficient use of materials and labor. Over the past ten years he has produced hundreds of designs, working intensely inside his simple glass room with the Pacific Ocean in the distance.
