More than 100 striking color images of the beauty of the 400-mile Sierra Nevada Range in California. It contains the highest peak in the Continental USA, is solid granite, and is still rising. It has more than 500 peaks above 12,000 feet and over 160 exceed 13,000 feet. Canyons between 6,000 and 7,000 feet deep are common in it's southern parts. It contains internationally famous areas such as Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Mt Whitney, and the Pacific Crest Trail.
