This book showcases more than 130 exquisite pictures shot by 12 Malaysian Photographers who went on a photo safari to Siem Reap in Cambodia to learn the finer points of photography amid the hauntingly beautiful ancient ruins of Angkor Wat and the surrounding villages. The photographers were being coached by the authors of this book, and most pictures contain a narration about why the picture works. The authors, Yusuf Hashim and Maxby Chan are Administrators of PhotoMalaysia.com, Malaysia's largest online photo community with a membership of more than 35,000 photographers. Between them, the authors have more than 80 years of photography experience in film and digital. Yusuf teaches photography at Malaysia's Open University, writes for magazines, and is the photographer for world-explorer.net, a company specialising in overland and intercontinental 4x4 driving adventures. Yusuf has driven through and photographed more than 80 countries over the last 10 years. He shares his experience about making beautiful pictures in this book. Co author Maxby Chan is a leading expert in the almost forgotten art and science of Analogue or Film Photography. The book represents the portfolio of the graduates of the PhotoMalaysia Photography Experience, a unique 2 stage photography workshop that Yusuf and Maxby regularly conducts for members of PhotoMalaysia.com.
