About the Book
'My Home' forms part of a resource pack that is used to guide participants in the process of storytelling by encouraging them to actively engage with the everyday. This book tells the story of a place in time and is intended to be used as a stepping stone to further storytelling. The book includes a creative space where readers can add details about their own place in time and engage with the fundamentals of storytelling.
This book was produced as part of a project titled; 'Our World - from storytelling to writing'. With increased movement across the globe of individuals and communities, there is a growing need to capture stories of the past (traditions, customs), and those of the present (resettlement, living amongst other cultures, language development). The aim of the project is to collaborate with international educators and community organizations to help individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to write, edit and publish their own stories. To create resources to be shared – to entertain, to engage and to help people preserve a sense of identity.

About the Creator
1000 Tales
Brisbane, QLD, Australia
1000 tales was formed to create an ecosystem in which stories that are not usually told can be nurtured. Through our projects we hope to take a strength based approach to enable people to cultivate and grow anthologies of the stories that are important to them. We hope to create a platform by which people can share these stories through beautiful books, magazines and other publications that honour the energy, memory and ceremony of their particular story while enabling them to gain critical skills to write with confidence.
