An amazing array of stunning photographs from around the world, this collection of contrasting panoramics and close up details is so much more than just another coffee table book. With commentary from the author about the place, each photo comes alive and offers something special: thoughtful insight.
I like to use a few simple rules to take the best shots I can. I don't spend too long setting up the shot either, I have no complicated or expensive equipment, although I will walk around a city for hours, perhaps even revisiting a place at different times of the day and in different weathers to try and capture something rare and hopefully spectacular.
I try to take the shot as quickly as possible too, making the most of the light, angle and perspective in front of me, right there, right then.
I also like trying to capture the shape, contrast, and palette of a building or place without repeating what someone else has done or without making it look like a typical tourist photo.
