About the Book
"Strange Bedfellows, and other critters," by Campbell Hutchinson, ©2009, a children’s book of 17 paintings and limericks. “There is in nature a symbiotic relationship among different species. They work together and each one benefits from the other. That is why you see zebras or impalas hanging around giraffes out in the African savanna. The giraffe can see in the distance and will warn the smaller animals of approaching danger.

A former lawyer now pursuing a career in fine art, I am an expressionist painter trying to capture the spirit of my subject, be it man, animal or place. Since 2008 I have written, illustrated and published ten books of my animal paintings and limericks. Additionally, I have published two books of my landscape paintings, each painting relating to the writings of noted environmentalists, naturalists and poets. The theme of my books is the significance of our natural assets, whether they be forests, lakes, mountains, desert, swamps or the wild animals that inhabit the wilderness.
