This is a book of recipes my DH and I have made over the past year or so and have loved. Most are moderately easy, cheap & healthy with a few show stoppers thrown in for good measure.

I am obsessed with food. I grew up watching all the PBS greats: Julia, "The Frug" (the Frugal Gourmet), Justin Wilson, Jacques Pepin.
While other children got candy for Valentines Day and Easter, I got things like frying pans, wooden spoons and interesting breads from around the world.
Luckily, I had a mother that loved to experiment with food in a limited budget and a stepmother that taught me the simple pleasure of stirring the batter (& licking the spoon!). I still suck at batter stirring, but that's ok; I don't bake without a helper.

The book is 7 in x 7 in and 70 pages. I am thrilled with the final quality of the book and have gone back and used it to cook from many times since it came out.

"Easy/Cheap/Healthy" was a handy compilation of tasty and easy-to-make recipes. Carolyn's creativity, coupled with her love of cooking, really reflects in this unusual and convenient little book. There's enough diverse selection of recipes in here to entertain even the most discriminating and experienced chef! This is just in time for the 2009 holidays.
