Homeschooling was one of the best ideas we ever had! This book chronicles the year that started it all - when my oldest began kindergarten. At that time, I never dreamed she would be homeschooled all the way through 12th grade.
Putting this book together has served to remind me that those first days weren't always easy. There were plenty of attitude problems and worries that we weren't doing enough.
But mainly this book reminds me of the precious memories I was privileged to make with my only daughter as she started her journey of learning.
Eleven years later, she still loves art and still loves to dilly-dally! She still likes to write books, but she's learned to use spellcheck!
On the cover - Though we would later often have school in our pajamas, on the first day of school Rebecca wore this cute smocked dress made by her Aunt Ann and worn by her older cousins Katie and Lisa on their first day of kindergarten.
The mission of Funfolios is to preserve the artwork, schoolwork and performing arts experiences of children in a fun and functional format that can be enjoyed for years to come.
