Who are Large Order Services?

I’d like to introduce you to Blurb’s Large Order Services team. This small but knowledgeable team is dedicated to supporting customers who order high volumes of books be successful on the Blurb platform. It’s no secret that producing a beautiful, professionally manufactured book isn’t simple. In fact, to create one book it’s not unusual for more than 7 different people to handle the book at some point in the production process. But to create 300 books, or 1,000 books, or 5,000 books – that can be a whole different ball game. And we at Blurb want you, our customer, to know that you and your books are being taken care of.

Let’s face it – printing that many books can be stressful, especially if you don’t have a lot of experience working with a printer. Many questions come up, like “what’s the best way to proof my book for offset printing so I know the color is right?” or “what if I don’t have room to store 35 boxes of books in my garage?”

That’s where Large Order Services come in

We guide customers ordering more than 100 copies of their book through the production process. This starts with a  discussion about the purpose of your book, your budget, and your timeline. We look at these factors and determine if digital printing, domestic offset printing or offshore offset printing would best suit your needs. We discuss distribution and warehousing options and the creation tools you want to use. And if you want custom options added to your book, like a foil stamp, ribbon marker, or unique linen color, we can help with that, too. We take all of this into consideration and develop a plan to make you successful. We’re your project partner, all the way through to when your books are delivered and you let us know you love them.

A small but important detail is that the Large Order Services team is not a sales team. We’re focused on you and your project, not the sale. In fact, the Large Order Services team doesn’t report to a Sales Manager, Marketing, or even Business Development. Instead, we report to the Operations team, along with Customer Support, Print Operations, and Shipping Operations. That way, we have access to the key internal resources we need to help make each project successful.

Have a large project you want to chat about? Reach out to us using this short form – we look forward to working with you soon!

magazine about $25.00 with shipping… if someone wants 2 books it’s
over $50… is that too much?
