About the Book
This collection of black-and-white photographs reflects my interest in the past through the use of old or antique clothing. The negligee I wore on my wedding night. My mother's black swimsuit. Marcia's red dress. Aunt Ada's undies. My daughter was my model, submitting to having her beautiful face swathed in cheesecloth or hidden in some other way so that attention would be focused only on the garments. These photos could not have been taken digitally. Only film, with its grain and imperfection, was capable of conveying the necessary sensitivity for the project.

I am a serious photographer whose main body of work has been in black-and-white. At the moment I frequently use digital but will never completely give up film.
