Morag Duff - Biography
Born in Scotland to Gaelic –speaking parents, Morag embraced the vibrant culture of the Hebridean Islands of Eriskay and South Uist from an early age - especially the wonderful oral tradition of story- telling and song.
She was schooled in Glasgow, and in the early eighties graduated from Glasgow University, her main subjects being Gaelic Language and Fine Art.
In the mid- eighties Morag embarked on a successful teaching career. In recent years, her love of painting the landscapes of the Western Isles has become more than just a hobby and she now exhibits and sells her paintings in two popular Scottish galleries.
More recently, her interest in the fine art of photography inspired her book ‘Land and Light: Island Connections.’
