About the Book
A photojournal of a 2007 trip to Ladakh, located in the mountainous high altitude far northwest of India. The people of Ladakh are primarily Buddhist, and the region is often referred to as "Little Tibet," as it has more in common with Tibet than with the rest of India. The centerpiece of the trip was an eight day trek in the Markha Valley. The trip also included visits to Leh, the region's capital, some of Ladakh's major Buddhist monasteries, and a few days in India proper with visits to Delhi, Agra, the Taj Mahal, and Fatehpur Sikri.
