"The Morphologies of Tyler Stallings and Naida Osline" presents the work of two artists who explore the body in a state of transformation, and its corporeal fragmentation as a metaphor for our times. Stallings is a photorealist painter and Osline a photo-based artist. They are interested in verisimilitude; desiring that their fantastical subjects appear likely and probable to a viewer. It is this fine line between the documentary and the imaginary that gives both their bodies of work a sense of the uncanny. Both artists have had several solo exhibitions and have exhibited throughout the U.S. and internationally. This will be their first major exhibition and book that features their works together and explores affinities between them.
