About the Book
Enjoy my photographic adventure in a kayak photographing common loons. They are often considered a symbol of the wilderness. Approximately 3,000 loons come to the northern part of Wisconsin each year. Nesting pairs can be found on Lake Namekagon beginning in April. Understanding the biology and behavior of the birds is a critical element of successful photography of these birds. Travel by kayak provides a non-threatening look into the lives of these remarkable birds.
