This is a book of photographs from the successful "River of Light" exhibition held in Dundee Botanic Garden in November 2007, and is a very personal interpretation of the beauty of the River Tay (Scotland's longest river)

In particular, the book features photographs of the estuary of the River Tay, from Perth, downriver past Dundee, to the North Sea at Tayport and Monifieth. Most of these photographs were taken between October 2006 and October 2007.

Several of the photographs have been accepted by major exhibitions, including the Scottish International Photographic Salon 2007 and the Royal Photographic Society International Exhibition of the Projected Image 2007 . Others have been successful in local and national competitions and exhibitions, including the St Andrews and District Kodak Cup (winner 2007), Inter-Fife competition (Best Colour Print 2007), Ferryport Festival (winner 2007), and Royal Photographic Society Scottish Members' Exhibition 2007 and 2008.

Stan Farrow, the photographer, is a member of the Royal Photographic Society, and holds distinctions for his work (LRPS and ARPS). He has also taught workshops in digital landscape photography. Other examples of his photography may be seen on his web site. Many of his photographs are in private collections.
