About the Book
This is abook of my Mother's recollections of her childhood inNorthern California. She died in 1990 at the age of 95, and I (her son) have published it as she had wished. (An exerpt of it has been published by the Oregon Historical Society in the 1980's.) This is a poignant (for me) view of the inner thoughts of a 3 to 9 year-old recaptured as an octogenarian. It also represents an historical view of life in a large family on the Western Frontier and how they lived their daily lives. The book includes many photos and art-work by the author.
