In October 2001 I was given the opportunity by the NGO "ANESVAD" to work in the Ivory Coast making a photographic documentary on a type of leprosy called Buruli ulcer. In parallel with this work I developed a series of portraits about people and places that captivated me while in that country.

Miguel Iglesias was born in Pontevedra and since a very early age he worked on his passion, photography. He worked as a photographic reporter in the Ivory Coast where the city town hall sponsored some of his numerous exhibitions. Currently, Miguel continues doing what he enjoys the most, stopping time with his camera.
