I was there in Washington, D.C. for the Inauguration. Starting at 05:30 AM at the Springfield (VA) Metro Station, I joined 2,000,000 common people in the crowd that chilly day, standing next to the Washington Monument to hear the speech. Electrifying: this was not your father's Oldsmobile. For the first time since JFK, America found a leader capable of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our Allies.
