This seventy-two page photo book details the unique character of Kalamazoo in a series of inspired photographs by photographer and historian, Erin Dorbin. Erin has spent the past several years visiting and documenting local spaces with her various film cameras to create content for this collection. Highlights from the book include both written and visual features on local landmarks such as the former Douglas Auto Drive-In Theatre, Sunset Lanes Bowling Alley, and Portage Motel. However, you don't have to be a resident of the area to appreciate the book; in fact, anyone interested in community, local history, photography, and preservation can enjoy this exceptional collection.

Erin used a number of cameras in the creation of this photographic collection including the Holga, Mamiya C220, Yashica Mat, Brownie Hawkeye Flash, Canon Rebel G 35mm SLR, Hasselblad, and Diana toy camera. The book includes a camera index in the back to show the reader which camera was used to take each image.
