At the heart of Thrownology is its uniquely playful and collaborative nature. Inspired by Philippe Halsman’s Jumpology photography series, the initial concept was simple: take photos of various objects thrown by friends, family, and co-workers. From that initial idea blossomed an even more creative and imaginative idea: photographically represent various sayings, idioms, puns, and other turns of phrase based on the idiosyncracies of the English language. Herein lies the results. Enjoy!
