Introduction
In the storms of life, it is good to have a hand to hold,a word of kindness and love to guide you.
God bless you.
“May God give back to you in love all
the love you have given and all the joy
and peace you have sown around you,
all over the world.
May God bless you deeply.” ~ Mother Teresa
This is a story about Alice.
Alice was a kind nurse and cared deeply about the sick. Sometimes we would meet for coffee and Alice would express her concern for the dying. Alice also loved children and cared about the people in her neighborhood. She protected and was a guardian Angel to those children with whom she came into contact in her community.
Alice had had a baby whose name was to be Joshua. But Joshua died before birth and Alice greatly missed the child. During the course of our friendship, Alice would often tell me that she still felt the loss of her child that she had never known. We would share stories and personal confidences, and I in turn would tell her how much I loved and missed Diane and my godson, baby Brian, who died in a tragedy.
Alice eventually moved with her family to the country, where she and her husband gradually restored her grandmother’s home. Alice loved to decorate her house and she would share her passion by send Angel gifts in accordance with the holidays from Thanksgiving until Mother’s Day. At the time, I remembering thinking, “Alice’s attachment to the Angels is becoming inspiring.”
As the years passed, we could not see each other as often. But since we both worked in health care, at times our paths would cross. Then Alice became ill.
Winter Star
If I could hold a star in my hand
It would be you.
would you ever love me, hold me,
touch me
like before.
You come to me at night,
in the morning you are gone.
You shine,
you are here.
Other lights may shine and obscure our
love. But the eclipse is only a moment
away.
Until you arrive home
I stay with my Angel
Who will guide you back to me
For eternity
You say I must not follow you
God will follow me
God will hold me
He holds me for you.
