James R. Bryce Jr. wrote a letter to his family back home almost every day he served in WWII in Africa, France, Italy and Germany. This book contains photocopies of his letters. They contain fascinating historical perspective. One interesting quote ends "...smoldering and smoking like the tapestry of Satan." Another reads, "They love American soldiers and show it every way possible."
