For the most part, these aren't photos of tourist spots. I wanted to find things that show Manhattan on a smaller scale (well, smaller for Manhattan anyway), highlighting some of the more (and less) ordinary aspects of Manhattan life, concentrating on the Lower East Side, give or take a few blocks. I think it's worth a look. Maybe you will, too.
