Following several childhood visits David Lavelle rediscovered Leonardslee in 2006 and has been a regular visitor since then, enjoying an idyllic year photographing the changing seasons throughout 2008. He has produced this volume as a thank you to the Loder family and their dedicated team for their work in looking after these much-loved gardens.

David has exhibited many of the photographs featured in this book at Open House events in the 2009 and 2010 Brighton Festivals. The complete collection is available to view at his website.

Leonardslee is located in Lower Beeding near Horsham in West Sussex, and closed to the public on 30th June 2010.
