About the Book
During a trip to Haiti, post earthquake April 10, 2010 to April 15, 2010, I was very fortunate to be a part of something special. On this trip I was joined by my family Rio Theodore, Peggy Theodore, Nadine Jean-Baptiste, Natasha Fortune, and Stanley Brutus, all of us being either born in Haiti or of Haitian decent. We came across a lot of people with amazing stories of survival and the will to go on after this tragedy. With the help of so many donations we were able to feed 500 people as well as make a very generous donation directly to the orphanage Responsable du Foyer des Salésiennes. Now I know that this is a dent compared to what is needed in Haiti, but I know with the help of the world along with the undying faith from the people of Haiti this country will live up to the potential it has. There is so much still to be done and help is still needed. In this photo book I am going to display the destruction that was still present on our trip well after the earthquake as well as the beauty of this country that is very rarely seen.
