Elaine M. Sheahan has been writing children's stories since volunteering as a Story Lady at Childrens Memorial Hospital in Chicago in the early 1950's. Her memoirs have been published in several anthologies; one of them aired on local television where she was interviewed by the late-great Norman Ross. She also won First Prize for writing a story about her father called "Dapper Dan," in a city-wide contest run by the City of Chicago Department of Aging. She currently resides on the northeast side of Chicago.
