About the Book
भीड़ is a trip to the Indian subcontinent, one of the most populated regions in the whole planet. In the crowded streets one can find the most vibrating individuality, the singularity that makes up the chaos.
Photos were taken by Gustavo Sanabria between March 25 and April 26 of 2010.
The "Still lifes" series shows the odd and extraordinary Museum of Natural History of Kathmandu, a mix between cientific collection and freak fair.
In "Portraits" and "Sleeper class" there are, like in a log book, scenes from India (Rajastan and Uttar Pradesh) and Nepal, people and places found by chance along the way, showing shape and soul, modernity and tradition, omnipresent religion and an inmense and disarming humanity.
