About the Book
On 20 April 2010, the deepwater horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico killing 11 platform workers. The resulting oil spill is now considered the largest in U.S. history with millions of gallons spilled to date. The impact on the environment and the fishing communities of Southern Louisiana, whose livelihoods depend on the Gulf's bounty, will be felt for years to come.
