About the Book
Collection of images from Solvang and San Francisco circa 2006.
I'm currently unemployed and still holding onto my dreams of being a photographer. It's rough to not cave in and become something you don't want to be.
This is my first Blurb book and I'm hoping that it'll spark some fans as well as push me to publish more of my personal work on here.
Anyhow, book description.... I took these photos at a time when I was deeply in love with someone that was living in SF. We broke each other's hearts. Mainly her's. My desire and motivation to win her back is what made me drive up to the city she was living in and photograph it. (I was attending Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara during this time.) That's just half of the images.
The other half of images are from a small town north of Santa Barbara, CA. Solvang is the name and it's quite the different place in California. Dutch town I believe.
The thing I kept in mind as I edited and finalized the images was to make sure that these photos shared a few similar features yet ultimately were different from the start. Ah love, what have you done to make me publish this silly book of dreams.
Enjoy and explore your life as well.
