About the Book
Working with natural pigments and the local environment, 10 fabric maps from the 1930s become a story in themselves--their history and my own become intertwined.
The maps were part of a WPA project in Washington state in the late 1930's. I've gone back to the areas that were surveyed to see what's there now. In the process, I examined my relationship to the region.
