About the Creator
I am a mom of three busy teenagers, wife to a wonderful husband, happily self employed as a photographer for the past 8 years. Before that, I taught middle school and high school for 14 years. Why the career change? Photography has always been near and dear to my heart. My grandfather was a serious amateur photographer, and I remember being in the darkroom with him as a magical time. We have boxes and boxes of family photos, going back in to the thirties. Through those photos, I have a strong sense of who I am and who I came from. When my twins, Theresa and Patrick, were born in 1990, I knew I wanted to document every precious moment of their lives. Michael, my youngest, was born in 1993. It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has gone! When I am creating family portraits or wedding photos, I am very aware that I am creating an important piece of family history. I strive to show not only how people look, but the emotion, connections and relationships between people.
