About the Book
Maurizio Marcato embraces once more the world of publishing and launches his first online magazine: BlackandLight.com n1.
An exiting challenge, made of tales, reportages of unforgettable travels, portraits describing far lives, passions and stories, lights and shadows lived by the photographer, interpreted through the eye of his camera and for the first time offered to the public. The magazine will be monthly and everyone will be able to leaf through it for free on the website www.blurb.com: a strategic choice, strongly wanted to demolish the space and time barriers and to offer the artistic photoraphy to everyone, professional and non. In every place in the world youʼll be allowed not only to enter the Blurb website and leaf through the magazine, but also to collect it: indeed, with an easy procedure, youʼll be able to get a copy of BlackandLight.com, printed on high quality sheets, straight to your home and exite yourself day after day. For the first number of the magazine, Maurizio Marcato presents “Namibia ladscapes”: 80 pages deicated to a fascinating but also complex Country, and to its breathtaking views and bright contrasts. An unusual and particular Namibia, described through the camera of a sensitive artist, who wanted to transmit its more suggestive characters and to denounce its more hidden aspects. And this is not all, the passion for photography and the infinite possibilities offered by the web pulled Maurizio Marcato to enlarge the project to a blog - blackandlight.com. A refined platform, that will publish every day images selected among the various numbers of his poliedric magazine and unpublished photos.“I wanted to create a virtual space to talk to the most ample and various public. - tells Maurizio Marcato in the first day of opening of his blog - I desire to experiment the pleasure of being able to share in real time my creations and register the feelings springing from the meeting with people loving photography and travels, as me”. The appointment is on www.blurb.com and on blackandlight.com!
