About the Book
‘One Plus’ Ten, is the part autobiography of Victor Wright, a young boy who grew up in the 60's and 70's in a poor family.
His mischievous antics always seem to end in disaster, as he explores the world of wasp’s nests, railways and bonfires. Set in a time when parents didn’t have to worry where their kids were all day, the front door was always open and a car was a luxury – he found fun wading in streams, eating worms and making go-carts!
This funny, heart warming story makes light of the lack of money, work and the hardships endured by many families in what was an iconic era. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, but most of all it will make you remember just how good we had it.
"Entertaining, humorous and engaging."
