About the Author:
You can live in many different ways. You can drink a bottle of Scotch and wait for the offensive of the life’s adventure. Stick like a stalactite, waiting for a drop of water that would build up something within you. It would be, however, definition of self-admiration and idleness.
You can also have soul filled with phosphorus, veins steaming with journey and the creative force. The talent.
…Watching the photographs you don’t need to ask anything…
He waited for himself many years, having several dozen of places within, where always, no matter what’s the day or night time, something is happening, transforming or exploding – the time was still dragging on. The hyperactivity has found its vent eventually. Art. Living and creating in such a way require an exceptional fierceness and courage. Being blended with ozone and the shutter’s sound he set off for a journey around the Globe.
The life rushes, every day is rubbed away like the strip on a phone card. Being here, Kac is forced to burst through the daily wall of fire; repeatedly, tediously and unusually competently. It’s a torment and commitment for an artist. By this extent of professionalism and consequence the success was inevitable. And there it is. Kacper doesn’t get deluded by life concepts invented for him by others. That’s why the artistic life clashes even stronger with the businessmen being. He is a wolf in… the wolf’s clothing. There is no sheep. He told me once he would go to war against the whole world. Today I know that the weapon he wields is artistically sublimated; it’s the camera – like a lancet that cuts raw flesh out of the reality, without any precautions. It’s the artist’s atomic turbine that gets winded up during the journey and enables this daring perception. It dazes and tantalizes, takes the viewer for a hike.
Life without an event map and meeting the days without any previous plan - make the canvas for the predatory output. There are no flowers, heavenly birds or morning dew drops decomposing light into the rainbow, to be found in here. This is a different space, without polished landscapes, it’s filled up with natural, rough content. The life itself warms up its colors with the surface of rocks, human faces, dark abyss, and smelly fishes sold on Fridays. The facets of existence are multiple. Our isolation and seclusion make the photographer’s monologue and get frozen in the lens. Here you find the most difficult spots on the Earth, full of suffering, sadness and fever. Sometimes there is no light and no shadow. There is no appeal and no reason. He can make the pictures burn like revolutionary flags, if he chooses. He has the ability. He invites us – the audience - into his rough theathre of immobility, of the being stopped within a fraction of a second. The fact that writers draw from other books, under any pretence, on a large scale, slips our attention. Rarely do they write themselves – they use the others. This makes their meetings, inspirations, ease and anecdotes. The age of people closed with their computers. The artistry, however, is the essence, extract from solely own personality. Kac has the camera. Private Cyclops Eye, inspired by no one. This makes the value. Choosing the art… gives the gaze filled with victory over the ordinary.
In truth he wants to get out of the environment – it is visible in every frame. The cities of worn-out paths kill something in him irreversibly. Kac has everything and everything recedes when he creates – he freely pushes away all he surrounded himself with and stays alone with photography. Sometimes this ultimatum hurts. He shares this with the audience too.
He will try to create till the end; the finish has no importance… What counts are the way and the pictures; search of the fifth element in the nature, landscape or other human. Taking a portrait picture, he robs by the means of his camera, not taking away anything at the same time. Creative feedback. The world is always entangled in peace and fever. He will look for these everywhere. The hunting lasts and we can admire few of the trophies in this publication.
In the photographs the nature is charmed into stillness. Kacper seizes the world’s speed.
Watching the photographs, you don’t need to ask anything, you only have to feel.
Every time you look though the album’s pages you drift further away from your home….
