The Eastern Mediterranean is home to many of the myths and legends that have contributed to our culture. The stories from the Greeks, the Egyptians, the Romans, and Christianity are familiar to all of us from school and the movies. We start our trip in Greece where myths and legends abound, follow the Greeks to Turkey, Cyprus, Egypt, Tunisia, and Sicily. This trip will also closely follow the epic poems of Homer. We will also follow the path of Christianity from its beginning in Judea to its arrival in Rome. The final players in our voyage are the knights of “The Sovereign and Military Order of the Knights Hospitaller of St. John of Jerusalem.
