About the Book
This photography book covers Upper Egypt: the Nile, temples, obelisks, ancient graves, etc. You won't find pyramids or the Great Sphinx because those are closer to the Nile delta. The monuments covered are largely from the period between 2000 BC and 30 BC: the New Kingdom and the Macedonian/Greek during which Egypt was governed from Upper Egypt.
The photographs are from a single trip, but by multiple photographers. There is some descriptive text (in Dutch - "sorry"). The descriptions attempt to be original and strive to be at a Wikipedia quality level.
The final pages contain detailed information about individual photos, as well as a chart which we designed to summarize the timeline of 40 centuries of Egyptian history (what happened when and where).
